A recent study of the current Ebola outbreak in Guinea that spread throughout West Africa found that no great apes or other large mammals have thus far been affected by the disease, and, in fact, may have actually increased in population since the outbreak began 14 months ago. Two illegal traders were arrested in Cameroon this week in possession of 3 chimpanzee skulls and 1 gorilla skull, following a joint operation between Cameroon law enforcement officials and the Last Great Ape Organization (LAGA).
