An illegal trader who trafficked in endangered species online was arrested today in Aceh in possession of 3 infant Sumatran orangutans and other protected wildlife. The sting operation was the biggest raid and capture ever in Aceh, and was coordinated among the Centre for Orangutan Protection (COP), the Orangutan Information Centre (OIC) Aceh police, and Indonesian wildlife authorities (BKSDA).
