Over 1 billion people worldwide rely on forest resources for their survival, yet the greed of a relative few strikes directly at the safety and survival of these people, even as it pushes elephants, great apes, #rhinoceroses and #tigers closer to the brink of extinction. Are we powerless? Is the loss of so many iconic species inevitable? I think not. We do hold the future in our hands, and as an Ambassador of GRASP, I call on my brothers and sisters in Southeast Asia and elsewhere around the world to get up and join the fight, to ensure that the future we hold in our hands is the future we want for generations to come.”
