An adult male Sumatran orangutan – seriously injured and trapped by expanding farmland – was rescued this week by the Orangutan Information Centre (OIC) and the Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Programme (SOCP), in collaboration with the North Sumatra wildlife department (BKSDA).
