An infant female chimpanzee that was being used as a tourist attraction at a Chinese restaurant in Cameroon has been confiscated and transferred to the Limbe Wildlife Centre. Chinoise – which means “Chinese” in French – had been tied with a rope outside a restaurant in Douala, and a health-check indicates she has liver damage, probably as a result of being given alcohol.
