Roxie, a female Western Lowland gorilla who has spent her entire life at the Cheyenne Mountain (USA) Zoo, turned 39 years of age this week, making her the zoo’s oldest gorilla. Although unable to breed due to kidney and abdominal issues, Roxie is considered among the most intelligent and outgoing of the zoo’s 7 gorillas.
