Indonesia’s Surabaya Zoo suffered more that 50 animal deaths in the past few months, according to a former keeper, earning its nickname, the “Zoo of Death.” In addition to the starving and tormented animals, the zoo is rat-infested – note the rats in the orangutan enclosure – the zoo lacks veterinary or husbandry expertise.
