Bobby, a male chimpanzee who was born in the notorious Coulston Laboratory and used in bio-medical research for 18 years before being transferred in 2002 to the Save the Chimps sanctuary in Florida, USA, celebrated his 31st birthday this week. Bobby was anesthetized over 250 times and was found alone in a small, barren cage in a building known as “The Dungeon” when he was rescued.
