An infant male Bornean orangutan who had been kept illegally as a pet was seized this week by the Bornean Orangutan Survival (BOS) Foundation and Indonesia wildlife authorities (BKSDA) from a village in East Kalimantan. The orangutan, who is estimated to be no more than 2 years of age, was taken to the Samboja Lestari rehabilitation centre and is the 16th rescued thus far in 2016.
