The last three surviving orangutans were evacuated from the Taru Jurug Zoo in Central Java this week, following the deaths of two others in recent months. The Surakarta (Solo) Natural Resource Conservation Agency took ownership of the orangutans, and stated it would seek to transfer them to a conservation site.
