A female Sumatran orangutan and her infant were rescued this week by the Orangutan Information Centre (OIC) Human Orangutan Conflict Response Unit (HOCRU)after becoming stranded in a rubber plantation inside an oil palm plantation near Langkat in North Sumatra. After a thorough health check, the mother and infant were relocated and released in the Leuser forests in Sei Betuing, North Sumatra. For more, visit http://buff.ly/1GjkEOa.
