Edwin Sabuhoro (Rwanda) started his Eco-tourism initiatives targeting poachers under Iby’iwacu Cultural Village as a community based tourism initiative do discourage poaching bt offering alternative revenue generating activities. To ensure sustainability, he invested in the development of Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village. Since 2007, the initiative has annually generated US$ 30.000. This has helped to demonstrate to communities the importance of the park.
