An infant male Bornean orangutan who had been bought for $35 USD as a pet and lived with a family in Ketapang was seized this week by Indonesian wildlife authorities (BKDSA) and transferred to International Animal Rescue for rehabilitation. The orangutan, nicknamed “Josh,” was raised much like the family’s own child (pictured), who burst into tears when the orangutan was taken away.
