Vutu, an infant male Western Lowland gorilla who was the survivor of twins born at the Frankfurt (Germany) Zoo 5 months ago, died this week in Germany after a brief illness. Both Vutu and his mother, Dian, were struck with intestinal / blood problems, but while Dian recovered through medication, Vutu deteriorated and died.
