Gundul, a male Bornean orangutan at the Gunung Bayan Zoo in Indonesia, recently lapsed into critical condition following a wound on his left hand. After being treated by a veterinarian team from the Centre for Orangutan Protection (COP), the orangutan briefly recovered, then fell ill again.
