An adult male Sumatran orangutan who had become isolated in a forest patch inside an oil palm plantation in Bankongan Village, Aceh, was rescued and relocated this week by the Orangutan Information Centre (OIC), in collaboration with Indonesian wildlife authorities (BKSDA). The orangutan – who is estimated to be 30 years of age – was released later into the Leuser forest in Rantau Sialang, South Aceh. For more, visit http://ift.tt/1WZvToB http://ift.tt/1WBOd8O
