Poachers kill jobs by continuing the slaughter of iconic wildlife species and threatens to significantly dent Africa’s multi-billion dollar tourism industry.
Safaris were the most popular type of wildlife watching (offered by 96% of the participating tour operators). In countries that are not considered classic safari destinations, observing great apes, marine wildlife and tracking of particular species were particularly important.
