The crackdown against illegal ape trafficking in Guinea has netted its second seizure – and arrest – this week following joint operations between the EAGLE Network’s Guinée-Application de la Loi Faunique (GALF) and Guinean law enforcement officials. An infant male chimpanzee estimated to be less than a year old was seized and transferred to the Centre de Conservation pour Chimpanzes (CCC) sanctuary.
