Colo, the world’s oldest captive gorilla, celebrated her 59th birthday on 22 December with gifts and all-natural treats at the Columbus (USA) Zoo, where she has lived her entire life. The first Western Lowland gorilla born in captivity, Colo has given birth to three offspring, but has 16 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
