Arvid, an orphaned chimpanzee who was paralyzed after contracting meningitis but continued to live a meaningful life through physical therapy treatments at the Sanaga-Yong Chimpanzee Rescue Centre in Cameroon, passed away recently. According to Sanaga-Yong founder Dr. Sheri Speede, “his body, which had become a frustrating prison, seemed to deteriorate more with each passing week.
