The International Gorilla Conservation Programme (IGCP) has hired Dr. Jena R. Hickey as the programme’s Conservation Scientist. Dr. Hickey, who has a PhD from the University of Georgia’s Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources (2012), spent over 15 years in the field provided key data on bushmeat hunting, slash-and-burn agriculture, and timber harvesting to the IUCN 2012-2022 Bonobo Conservation Strategy.
