Marbles, a male chimpanzee who was wild-born in Africa and thought to be 44 years of age, died this weekend at the Sedgwick County Zoo in Kansas, USA. Brought to the United States as a pet as an infant, Marbles was donated to the zoo at approximately 2 years and went on to produce 4 offspring.
