A 15-year old Bornean orangutan who had been kept as a pet in a tiny cage and fed rice, fruit, sweet tea and syrup, was voluntarily surrendered to the Indonesian wildlife authority (BKSDA) by her owner this week and transferred to a government facility in Central Java.
