The Chimpanzee Sanctuary and Wildlife Conservation Trust (CSWCT) in Uganda is helping restore the country’s dwindling forest cover by distributing 61,000 seedlings to private land owners living adjacent to western chimpanzee habitats in Hoima and Kibale districts. The pine and eucalyptus seedlings can be converted to timber, thereby reducing pressure on the forests.
