A juvenile male Sumatran orangutan who had been kept as a pet and fed a steady diet of Coca Cola, cigarettes and human food has been rescued by Indonesian wildlife authorities (BKSDA) and taken to the Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Programme (SOCP), where he is being weaned off his addictions. Nicknamed “Robert,” the orangutan is estimated to be 7 years old, lived most of the last 6 years in a small 2 x 1 meters cage. For more, visit http://buff.ly/1ODck4j
