The oldest female Sumatran orangutan in captivity in North America turned 56 years of age this week at the Oregon (USA) Zoo. Inji, who captured from the wild in Indonesia as an infant in 1960, arrived at the Oregon Zoo one year later and gave birth to 3 surviving offspring.
