An animal carry case that was left anonymously outside the Wildlife Friends of Thailand offices this week was found to have a juvenile female Bornean orangutan inside. It is thought the orangutan – nicknamed “Maggie” – was kept illegally as a pet but was abandoned when her owners realized the illegality of keeping a captive orangutan.
