Sule, a juvenile male Sumatran orangutan who was kept illegally as a pet in the village of Aceh Barat Daya, was seized this week after a 2-month legal battle. The Orangutan Information Centre, Scorpion Indonesia, the Indonesian wildlife authority (BKSDA), and the Aceh police worked closely to rescue the orangutan, who had been hidden from sight following a first attempt at seizure in May.
