A juvenile male chimpanzee was seized and three illegal traders were arrested in Cameroon this week following joint operation between Cameroon wildlife authorities and the EAGLE Network’s Last Great Ape Organization (LAGA). The chimpanzee, who will be transferred to the Sanaga-Young Chimpanzee Rescue Centre for permanent care, is the 22nd seized thus far in 2016, an 18 percent increase from a year ago.
