Chimpanzee Update: The young chimpanzee confiscated from illegal traders on the Congo River last week has been named “Motambo,” which means “snare” in the local Lingala language. He is still in critical condition and is in considerable pain, although veterinarians from JGI / Tchimpounga Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Centre are providing 24-hour care.
