Ginting, a juvenile female Sumatran orangutan who was returned to the wild earlier this year along with her mother and twin brother, was found dead recently, according to information released by the Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Programme (SOCP). Although Ginting’s twin (Ganteng) became an outcast soon after the reintroductionand had to be recaptured it was thought Ginting and her mother, Gober, would survive.
