Penny, a female chimpanzee who was born at the Busch Gardens (USA) zoo in 1975 to one of the few remaining wild-caught chimpanzees in North America, turned 40 years of age this week. Penny has spent her entire life as integral member of the Myombe Reserve family group, along with her mother, Patsy (53 years of age) and her brother, Mtoto (24).
