An adult male Bornean orangutan was killed this week by villagers in West Kalimantan, Borneo, according to investigators from the Center for Orangutan Protection (COP). Although villagers initially claimed the orangutan fell from a tree and died as a result of injuries, sources later revealed he had been beaten to death.
