A male Sumatran orangutan that had strayed too close to a village in Mane in northern Sumatra was captured and transferred to the Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Programme (SOCP), where he will be allowed to recover from several injuries. The confiscation was led by SOCP, Orangutan Information Centre (OIC), BKSDA, and a coalition of local conservation groups. For more, visit http://ift.tt/1iwXpE9 http://ift.tt/1dS7DBq
