Fatou, a female Western Lowland gorilla who was imported from Africa as an infant in 1957 by a French sailor and arrived 2 years later at the Berlin (Germany) Zoo, turned 58 years of age this week, making her the second oldest gorilla in captivity. Fatou is 4 months younger than Colo at the Columbus (USA) Zoo.
