An infant male chimpanzee who had been held as a tourist attraction at a hotel in Cameroon was seized this week and turned over to the Ape Action Africa sanctuary. Nicknamed “David,” the chimpanzee is extremely malnourished and shy, but will join the sanctuary’s adolescent group once he gains strength and clears quarantine.
