An infant male Sumatran orangutan whose mother was killed by poachers was confiscated in the Aceh Tengarra region and brought to the Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Programme (SOCP) facility on Thursday night. Nicknamed “Megaloman,” the orangutan is estimated to be 2-3 months old and arrived extremely malnourished and dehydrated, weighing just 1.5 kilograms.
