Western Lowland gorillas at the Buffalo Zoo, USA, prefer the sounds of nature over classical music or rock music, according to a recent study published in Zoo Biology. The gorillas exhibited fewer stress-related behaviors when a recording of rainforest sounds was played in their enclosure, as opposed to melodies by Frederic Chopin or the English band Muse.
