An infant male Bornean orangutan who was discovered by villagers alone in a field in East Kalimantan was surrendered today to the Centre for Orangutan Protection (COP). Nicknamed “Ongky,” the orangutan is believed to be 2 years of age, and is scheduled to undergo rehabilitation at the rescue centre currently being built by COP.
