Ape Action Africa announce the death their infant gorilla affectionately known as Baby Bird. She died on Saturday.
She had been receiving care 24/7 from staff on rotation when she stopped breathing. The team resuscitated her but when she stopped breathing a second time, they couldn’t bring her back.
