Two illegal traders in possession of a live infant chimpanzee, 7 chimpanzee heads and 30 chimpanzee hands and feet were arrested in Cameroon on Monday in a joint operation between the Last Great Ape Organization (LAGA) and Cameroon law enforcement officials. The chimpanzee will be transferred to the Ape Action Africa sanctuary in Yaounde, but the heads bring to 59 the number of great ape skulls confiscated thus far in Cameroon in 2014.
