A juvenile male Bornean orangutan who had been kept illegally as a pet by villagers near an oil palm plantation in East Kalimantan has been rescued by the Centre for Orangutan Protection (COP) and the Indonesian wildlife authorities (BSKDA). Nicknamed “Novi,” the orangutan was often chained by the neck to keep him from running away. For more, visit http://ift.tt/1nEF0Jn. http://ift.tt/1xQwVsu
