Sarah is a female chimpanzee who turned 47 years of age this week at the Riverside Discovery Center (USA) Zoo in Nebraska. Captured from the wild in Africa as an infant in 1969, Sarah spent almost 2 decades moving back and forth between zoos in Detroit and Cleveland before reaching Riverside in 1989.
