An infant male Bornean orangutan estimated to be just 2 months old was seized from a village in East Kotawaringin by a joint team from the Indonesia wildlife authority (BKSDA) and the Centre for Orangutan Protection (COP). Extremely weak and dehydrated, the orangutan was rushed to the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation’s Nyaru Menteng Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre in Central Kalimantan, where he is receiving round-the-clock care.
