A critically endangered Western Lowland male gorilla was found shot by poachers this week in the Dzanga-Sangha National Park in the Central African Republic (CAR). Nicknamed “Sosa,” the gorilla was 12 years old. Two suspects were arrested, but the investigation by wildlife authorities in CAR remains ongoing.
