An infant female Sumatran orangutan who was held illegally as a pet in Langsa, Aceh, was seized recently by the Orangutan Information Centre (OIC) Human Orangutan Conflict Response Unit (HORCU) and the Indonesian wildlife authorities (BKSDA) and transferred to the Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Programme (SOCP) rehabilitation centre.
