Lady, a Western Lowland gorilla who was the oldest inhabitant of the Al Ain (UAE) Zoo, died away this week from natural causes at the age of 41. Captured from the wild in Cameroon in 1974, Lady was the zoo’s sole gorilla once her companion, Maxi, died in 1998. In recent years, Lady shared her enclosure with rabbits and a wallaby.
