Yolanda is a female chimpanzee who was born in the wild in Africa but was captured as an infant in 1969 and spent decades in biomedical research in the USA before being transferred to the Save the Chimps sanctuary in Florida. Although her exact age is not known, Yolanda is thought to be in her late 40s. Yolanda was reunited with her 17-year old daughter, Millie, at Save the Chimps in 2009.
